Easier Employment with the Support from the Kingdom of Norway

Enhancement of competencies of at least 60 unemployed persons through improvement of their employability and employment of at least 30 beneficiaries in lesser developed areas of Montenegro, is supported by the Kingdom of Norway through „Norway for You – Montenegro“ Project with 150.000 Euros. Within the Public Call for vocational training activities, private companies, local self-governments or public enterprises, licensed adult education and training providers, non-governmental organisations and other relevant legal entities conducting trainings for unemployed can submit grant proposals until 30 January 2020.

The main objective of the call is to support employment of the vulnerable groups, by enhancing competencies of at least 60 unemployed persons through the provision of vocational trainings and employment of at least 30 beneficiaries. Training participants can only be unemployed individuals from 16 municipalities included in the “Norway for you – Montenegro”.

All interested parties can submit their project proposals for grants in the value from 5,000 to 30,000 Euros for organising trainings from two to 12 participants, out of which 50 percent should get employment.  The detailed criteria with the application documents are published on the project website www.norveskazavas.me. Informative sessions where all interested parties will be able to get the clarification and detailed information will be held according to the following schedule:

  • Friday, 20 December 2019, Podgorica, Hotel Ramada (Bul. Save Kovačevića 74), 10:30 AM;
  • Monday, 23 December 2019, Pljevlja, Hotel Franca (Mila Tošića bb), 12:00 AM;
  • Tuesday, 24 December 2019, Bijelo Polje, Hotel Franca (Muniba Kučevića bb), 10:30 AM.

The "Norway for you - Montenegro" project aims to contribute to the balanced socio-economic development of Montenegro, through increasing employment opportunities, supporting social cohesion and improving local infrastructure in less developed municipalities of Montenegro. The project is funded by the Kingdom of Norway with EUR 1.4 million, and field activities are carried out by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).
