Through the project "Norway for you - Montenegro", the Kingdom of Norway will support with 193,000 euros five projects aimed at increasing the competitiveness of small businesses through their transformation.
Within the Public Call for Support to Small Businesses in Montenegro, most of the applicants were business support entities, acting in partnership with some of the local self-governments, thus contributing to the networking of support to small businesses.
Through five selected projects, which will be implemented by entities that support the development of small businesses in cooperation with municipalities, the performance of at least 70 small businesses will be improved by strengthening marketing and negotiation skills, introducing innovative approaches to the technological process, improving business communication, project management, finance and leadership, the introduction of digitalization, as well as the promotion of best practices for quality, safety and trust in the production of small businesses through the implementation of relevant ISO standards.
The public call was open from 1 November to 12 December 2021. Interested entities supporting small business development could submit individual project proposals in the amount of USD 30,000 to USD 50,000, aimed at small businesses from the sustainable agriculture sector and the food production chain, sustainable and health tourism, information technology, manufacturing, and creative industries.
